When a little girl’s doubts, fears, and insecurities visit her at night, she doesn’t know what is happening or why. At first, she tries to flee as far as possible from these unpleasant feelings, but they follow her everywhere as a dark being. No one else can see it, and nothing seems to happen when she tries to stand up to it. It begins to take over her life until, one day, she stops and listens. She realizes the being, which is her anxiety personified, is not her enemy but a warning sign to keep her safe. This is an ideal read for kids struggling to manage negative emotions and to encourage mindfulness in young readers.

Inspired by the true story of Gasper Borchardt, this beautifully illustrated picture book explores how magic, music, nature, and spirituality come together. A master craftsman dreams of making a violin with the most exquisite wood in the world. He begins a magical adventure to the world’s most ancient forests. This story shows that while the journey won’t be easy, respecting nature, valuing art and music, and having the courage to pursue our dreams are always worth it.
